Eddie Nketiah’s Leeds United future is far from settled, and while Angus Kinnear has confirmed that the club are going to try their hardest to make sure he stays at the club, it may not go that way.Of course, even the slightest mention of Nketiah going back to Arsenal has had a number of United supporters panicking.
The above responses show the fanbase seem to think that the 20-year-old being recalled would be somewhat disastrous, but would it really be that bad?

Marcelo Bielsa clearly doesn’t rate him all that highly as he’s played just 373 league minutes this season, and despite having a great ratio of one goal every 124 mins, he’s not been all that brilliant as of late.
Indeed, the striker has scored just once in his last 11 appearances, and throughout that time his average WhoScored rating was just 6.26, which really is indicative of how poor he has been.
Phil Hay has previously stated that Leeds may dip into the market to replace Nketiah if he were recalled, and unless Victor Orta got it horrendously wrong it’d be hard for United to bring someone in who will have less of an impact than the 20-year-old.
This is even more poignant if Leeds manage to land either Cenk Tosun or Che Adams, two players who have proven their goalscoring credentials in recent years with Tosun netting 20 goals in Turkey in 2016/17 and Adams netting 22 in the Championship last term.
If Leeds are forced to twist, they can’t end up that much worse off than sticking.
Meanwhile, Leeds fans have been reacting as Phil Hay has confirmed one January departure.
