Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore just can’t stop getting praised this week with Molineux legend Kenny Hibbitt the next to talk up his exploits.
He believes the Spaniard’s value has substantially increased this season, claiming that the fee they originally paid is now looking like a bargain.
What’s he said?
The west Midlands side saw their 11-game unbeaten run come to an end last weekend as Tottenham Hotspur walked away with all three points courtesy of an injury-time winner from Jan Vertonghen.
Traore left his mark on the game after he bagged Wolves’ equaliser halfway through the second period. His performance led to claims that several of Spurs’ senior players asked their manager, Jose Mourinho, to try and make a move for him in January.

Now Hibbitt has spoken about the 23-year-old, he said:
“Traore is the quickest thing on two legs over a short distance and long distance but he wasn’t picking his head up and seeing the game before, but now that he’s doing that, he’s looking like a £60m, £70m, £80m player.
“The way he’s playing now makes the £18m they paid for him when he first came look like a bargain now.
“The boy has worked tremendously hard and the way he’s playing now is the standard we expect.
“If they can keep him fit and on the pitch, he’s going to be a massive asset for Wolves.”
Increasing value?
Nuno Santo brought Traore to the club for a then club-record £18m fee after they activated his release clause at Middlesbrough, but life in the Black Country didn’t begin most smoothly.
Last season, the enigmatic wide man could only muster up one goal and three assists with his Portuguese boss rarely trusting him as he was restricted to just eight Premier League starts, per Transfermarkt.

However, it is a different story this campaign with the former Barcelona ace becoming an integral part of the Wolves squad. He’s scored four and assisted six – and it’s not even Christmas yet.
Hibbitt, who played over 500 games for the club, believes that he could be worth as much as £80m which is four times the amount they paid for him.
It remains to be seen if that’s the case as Transfermarkt value him at £25.2m, though, that is still an increase and given the vast array of comments about him this week, his stock will only continue to rise on an upward trajectory.
Meanwhile, Hibbitt isn’t the only person to be talking up Traore this week…
