Felipe Anderson is already proving himself to be one of the best players outside the Premier League’s “big six”, and Liverpool fans were so impressed by his performance at Southampton they want to sign him in January.

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s sporting director, Michael Edwards, have done a superb job building the Reds’ squad, adding quality rather than quantity in every transfer window since the German’s arrival.

The one position they do not have adequate back-up in though is the left wing, where an injury to Sadio Mane would be absolutely devastating.

The Senegalese winger has had an inconsistent season, and plenty of fans are calling for a move for Anderson to provide competition for the 26 year-old.

Anderson joined the Hammers from Lazio this summer for a whopping £36m, and has already scored eight league goals, including an impressive brace at St. Mary’s on Thursday night.
