This summer was by far the craziest and richest transfer window in history with clubs all over Europe going wild with cash and massive moves. One much talked about transfer that didn’t come off though was Philippe Coutinho’s switch to Barcelona.

The fall-out of that failed deal continues to rumble on with Barcelona claiming Liverpool wanted £183m for the Brazilian and the Reds counteracting that claim, as reported by the BBC.

However, none of it really matters anymore, at least until January or next summer and Coutinho’s reality is that he’ll have to keep working hard and playing well at Liverpool to win a big move anywhere.

The Reds have had a decent start to the season and bringing Coutinho back into the team and back to top form will be a key priority for Jurgen Klopp moving forward into the Autumn.

Despite all the drama and the apparent lack of commitment to Liverpool, fans are willing to put it behind them and focus on the club and its results.
