da dobrowin: Two of Jurgen Klopp's most dependable players made costly second-half errors to condemn the Premier League leaders to a 3-1 defeat
da 888casino: Liverpool missed the chance to take further control of the Premier League title race as a mix-up between two of the Reds' most reliable performers, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, gifted Arsenal victory in Sunday's top-of-the-table clash.
The Gunners dominated the first half, and took a deserved lead when Bukayo Saka fired into an empty net after Alisson had denied Kai Havertz. Liverpool, however, managed to go into the break level after Luis Diaz's cross was turned into his own net by Gabriel Magalhaes.
The Reds barely deserved to be level, but the equaliser certainly seemed to boost them, and they were the better team in the second half before a long ball over the top wasn't dealt with by either Van Dijk or Alisson, which allowed Gabriel Martinelli to roll the ball into the unguarded goal.
Liverpool looked to fight back, but the game was all-but over once Ibrahima Konate was sent off for a second bookable offence late on, and their misery was compounded when Leandro Trossard's effort from a tight angle deflected off Van Dijk and through Alisson's legs.

Alisson Becker (1/10):
Perhaps a little unfortunate that his parry from Havertz landed at Saka's feet for Arsenal's opener, but he can have no excuses for his part in the second, as he came rushing off his line, only to totally miss the ball. An awful afternoon was compounded when Trossard's effort squeezed through his legs.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (5/10):
Struggled with Martinelli's pace upon his return to the line-up. Couple of eye-catching passes, but not at his best. Early substitution suggests he may not yet be fully fit.
Ibrahima Konate (3/10):
Beaten for pace on more than one occasion, and initially booked after losing a physical tussle with Havertz. Made a couple of key blocks, but saw red late on after picking up a second yellow for another foul on Havertz.
Virgil van Dijk (2/10):
Dragged out of position for the opener and then made a mess of dealing with the long ball over the top for Martinelli's crucial striker. One superb block to deny Odegaard can't salvage this disastrous showing from the skipper, who also deflected in Trossard's effort.
Joe Gomez (6/10):
Solid enough, but unable to cause as many problems going forward as he has in previous weeks. Booked.

Curtis Jones (6/10):
Carried the ball well on occasion but too often had no one to play forward to. Forced deeper in the second half, which led to his influence waning.
Alexis Mac Allister (6/10):
Odegaard got in behind him on a couple of occasions early on, but eventually got a grip on the game in midfield. Fired narrowly wide with two long-range efforts in the second half.
Ryan Gravenberch (4/10):
Shrugged off the ball far too easily on more than one occasion in the first half. Searching ball over the top did lead to Liverpool's equaliser, but he offered little else in his 57 minutes on the pitch.

Cody Gakpo (5/10):
Held it up a couple of times and showed a couple of nice touches, but struggled to get into the game much down the right-hand side. Replaced before the hour-mark.
Diogo Jota (5/10):
Poor first touch cost him an early opportunity to test Raya, and spent long periods out of the game, despite Klopp moving him around the forward line.
Luis Diaz (5/10):
Cut a frustrated figure for much of the first half, but it was his endeavour which forced the Arsenal errors for the equaliser. Better after the break, but couldn't conjure up anything of note.

Andrew Robertson (6/10):
Showed energy down the left but could create little.
Darwin Nunez (4/10):
Bright early in his 30-minute cameo, but grew frustrated late on, with some erratic shooting and dissent shown towards the officials.
Harvey Elliott (4/10):
Ran down too many blind allies. Gave the ball away for Trossard's third.
Thiago Alcantara (N/A):
Looked rusty on his return to action
Jurgen Klopp (5/10):
Cannot be blamed for the individual errors made by his star men, but starting Gakpo over Nunez was a puzzling call. Making three changes so early potentially unwise, too.
