According to the , United have spoken to both Aston Villa and Chelsea over a swap deal involving Garnacho as they eye moves for Watkins and Jackson. United are aiming to sign a quality No.9 to complete Ruben Amorim's attack after completing transfers for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

The report adds that the Blues value Jackson at £80 million ($107m) and while they are interested in Garnacho, the Club World Cup winners are unlikely to pay more than £30m ($40m) for the Argentina international. Selling Garnacho remains paramount for the Red Devils amid Profit and Sustainability rule pressures.

Watkins is also a candidate that United have in their shortlist of forwards, although Villa have maintained throughout initial talks that they do not intend to sell this summer. RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko is another option that the Red Devils are exploring.
