Mateo Kovacic has enjoyed a strong start to his Chelsea career, featuring in all but one of the Blues’ Premier League fixtures so far under Maurizio Sarri, and yet there’s an underlying feeling that he could be giving more to this Chelsea team.

With a fantastic midfield platform to venture from, in the form of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, the Croatian international – who Transfermarkt value at £27million – certainly has license to push forward and make a direct impact in the final third.

But so far this season he’s created only seven scoring chances – one of which resulted in an assist against Liverpool on Saturday – and taken eleven attempts at goal with none finding the net.

After his performance last weekend, we asked Chelsea fans whether the 24-year-old could be having a greater impact considering his level of ability, and our poll has revealed that 83% of Blues supporters think he should be giving more to this team.
